March 2014

Put your new news studio on air with the News Studio in a Box

NAB 2014 - Come see us in N2138

At NAB 2014 this year, Aveco will introduce the Redwood Family of products to the US market.

Redwood Studio drastically reduces the capital costs of building a new news channel, adding newscasts or enhancing bureaus. Redwood Play substantially reduces the master control costs of putting a new channel on air. Both Redwood products integrate all required technology into one box. In addition to lowering Capex, Redwood lowers operational costs by reducing staff in PCRs and MCRs, resulting in a quick return-on-investment.

Running many of the world's largest national TV newscasts and networks, Aveco's ASTRA Studio 2 production automation, ASTRA MCR master control playout, ASTRA Media Asset Management and ASTRA Workflow Management all continue to expand.

Come see us in the North Hall - stand N2138. Our key engineers and system designers will be available to discuss how we can solve your toughest problems including Production Automation, Master Control Playout, Media Asset Management, Disaster Recovery, Social Media Integration, Regional Ad Insertion, and Regional News insertion.

Set a NAB appointment - email sales@aveco.com with a proposed date/time. We'll confirm right away or work with you to schedule a demo session. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Aveco's Key Advantages

Unique in the industry is the ability to use Redwood Studio and Redwood Play together in a newscast or news channel, eliminating the need for separate operators. Redwood integrates with Aveco's large-scale ASTRA Production Automation and Master Control Automation system. Both product families use the same user interfaces and mission-critical Real Time Operating System (QNX) providing management of major studios and the largest TV networks along with smaller studios and niche channels in the same system.

ASTRA - Continues to Expand

At NAB we'll discuss the on-going expansion of ASTRA's interface library, the industry's largest, supporting most every piece of broadcast equipment including production switchers, video servers, graphics and virtual sets, lighting, audio, master control switchers, branding systems, captioning, edge stream-splicers and an array of ancillary systems. All aspects of ASTRA continue to grow: production automation, master control playout, MAM, workflow management, facility management, social media and stream-splicing control.
